16 hours in a field

So what do you get when you take a Honda generator, a Nikon D300s, and 80 feet of Truck and Trailer to a field? How about 1000 images timed out a minute apart, put them all together and you get this.

Trailer in Vegas

After months of planning, building, and worry, I finally got my shot in Vegas for Great Dane Trailers. This shot took the efforts of no less than 5 individuals plus county and city officials. The logistics and planning took an enormous effort that I could not take credit for, but to those who did, I say thank you and could not have done with out your help. So lack of sleep, hot conditions, and lots of time, produced the shot I desired. I have more but this finished shot is by far my favorite. TCB

The Real Caesars Palace

Continuing the Las Vegas theme here of late, I present to you a shot on the way back to my room Thursday morning. I kept seeing this shot from the car as we drove to other places for the photo shoot i was on. I promised myself i would try and get this before we left. So from the sidewalk of the strip early on the morning, the “real” Caesars Palace, they probably get that all the time.

I am in Vegas this week doing a photoshoot and am way off normal schedule. We are shooting at night around 1am every day to get the least amount of crowds. So when you are wondering back to fall asleep it allows for you to view these great hotels without any interference from the masses. This is the Grand Hall at The Venetian. The amount of detail and work on the room is unbeliveable. However at 4am it is empty and deserving of a passing photo.

Trailer in the Storm

This was a test with my new photo/trailer rig that was designed and built by my good friend Lor Izzard and me. I was more of the concept guy, while he was the head engineer, welder, and boss. Well, now that I think about it, Lor built this as I watched. This was the photo rig’s maiden voyage, and I think it was a success. We managed to get it down from the trailer, and break it apart before being struck by lightening.

Off Road Heaven – West Virginia

My son and I took a trip to West Virginia a couple of weeks ago to ride some of the Hatfield and McCoys Trail system. We got to go with some of my friends who live there and they ordered up chamber of commerce weather. I decided to attach my GOPRO wide camera on the front of the four wheeler I borrowed from Rusty. With the shutter set to open every 5 seconds I put together a small time elapse video, set to the music of House Of Pain, “Jump Around“, 1992 (old school). Also a small collection of the images from the video.

Bellagio Fountain

I just got back from a quick three day weekend in Las Vegas. I went to scout for an upcoming photo shoot and well for fun, its Vegas. Every time On my prior visits while walking the strip you cant help but stop and watch the dancing water at Bellagio. For me this means I have to fight the crowd to see, height issue. This time I decided to stop and get a photograph of the performance in HDR. After a small wait, and the sun starting to drop in the sky, I was able to get to the front and took this.
